It just takes that special "eye" to not only see it but to capture it in a way that will turn that simple little piece of nature into a beautiful piece of art. We'll cover essential topics, from taking your first frame to helpful tips for your journey. You don't need expensive gear to succeed, although having the right equipment does help. We'll discuss session planning, camera settings, and how to maximise the potential of your current gear, so you can start capturing stunning images of the Milky Way.
What to Bring: - A camera with manual settings - A tripod - A lens with a fast aperture (f/2.8 or faster is recommended) - A torch - A headlamp with a red light, if possible - A chair - Warm clothing (jacket, beanie, gloves, etc.), as it will be cold - Lens cloth (lens fogging can be an issue when photographing astrophotography, so be mindful of your gear's exposure to warm cars in cold environments) - Snacks and drinks, if desired Make sure you have everything packed for your outing!
