Exploring Camera Angles in Photography - Sherborne Wharf, Birmingham - 9.30am-11.30am - 2 hours

We have a different photo theme each fortnight and the two hour sessions take place in different outdoor locations across Birmingham. Great opportunity to try something new with the guidance of a professional photographer, and come away with some new shots for your portfolio or album.

Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

What’s involved? Each session starts with an introduction to the fortnight’s theme, and the photography instructor will chat about the camera settings and techniques to use. You’ll then have time to take lots of photos, with the instructor present to answer any questions. You’ll receive feedback and have a chance to chat with everyone to share tips and ideas. We’re a social bunch!

Photo Session - The Hidden World of Spaghetti Junction - 10am-12pm
Under the famous Spaghetti junction off the M6 motorway in Birmingham is a hidden world consisting of two rivers, 6 miles of canals and any number of concrete columns, that throughout the day cast long shadows like enormous silent Sentinel's from some sort of adult fairy tale or a classic Sci-fi Movie. In this session we'll be looking at how to tell a story with pictures, using a limited number of linked photographs.

This was my first time with BPG. Very enjoyable. Not being a native Brummy I found places I would never have found on my own. Nice to meet up with like minded people too. It was also noticable that we over ran past the scheduled finish time and Martin didn't seem to mind. A mate!
